Lt. Col. Diane Baldasaro
CO 437 Transport Sqdn
Lieutenant Colonel Diane Baldasaro joined the RCAF in 1996 and completed a degree in Business Administration at the Royal Military College of Canada. Following her pilot training, it was with great enthusiasm that she commenced flying global airlift operations on the CC-130 Hercules. After qualification and employment on the three major roles of the CC-130, (Search and Rescue, Air-to-Air Refueling, and Tactical Airlift), her career shifted to instruction as the Chief Flying Instructor for the NATO Flying Training Program in Canada. After her promotion to her current rank, and redesigning the RCAF Test and Evaluation Program as a project with the RCAF Aerospace Warfare Center, she was appointed to her current position as the Commanding Officer of 437 Transport Squadron. In this role, she leads the Huskies to fulfill their mandate to provide VVIP transport for the Government of Canada and Strategic Air-to-Air Refueling for the RCAF. With amazing support from her husband and two daughters, she is very much enjoying the opportunities with which she is presented.
